Our experience + more on Manzil Downtown...

Overlooking Souk Al Bahar, the hotel is in walking distance to Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and The Dubai Mall, the world’s most-visited and largest retail and entertainment destination. We were booked into the deluxe room with the burj view. You can pick between a king size bed or 2 twin size beds, we opted for the king size bed which was super comfortable, it's truly a task to get off once you're all cosy and tucked in. As you enter, to the right is the open bathroom with a separate toilet and shower area (with doors) and then there are the other fundamental facilities like, mini bar, complimentary wifi, tv, hair dryer, etc. Loved how the room had several long mirrors (perfect for all those OOTD snaps). The hotel has a beautiful pool area for you to chill by during the day with some refreshments and also a pretty decent gym. There is nothing too special about this hotel, I mean it is just like any other stunning 5 star hotel in the city, great facilities, great service. The little gestures they had done for us in the room were the cutest! Always been a fan of this hotel, there's something about its simplicity. For business guests, the Tawasal desk is a contemporary and casual business hub situated in the hotel lobby. It is available 24 hours a day and is self-service, allowing guests to access the latest devices, enabling them to connect to the Internet and wireless printer. The hotel’s unique meeting rooms on the mezzanine floor offer contemporary and comfortable spaces with an open, serve-yourself kitchen as well as a dedicated chef. With plenty of breakout space, this is an ideal environment for small and medium sized social or business events. Overall, a super sophisticated hotel choice if you are someone who does not prefer a fancy stay but still something up to the mark and something can accommodate to all your basic necessities. P.S. Manzil Downtown provides an imaginative interpretation of Arabian culture for Arab guests and a culturally stimulating experience for international visitors.

The Sin Brunch at Nezesaussi Grill...

We popped into Nezesaussi Grill for their Friday brunch, "The Sin Brunch." This place has a total American sports bar vibe. The restaurant is not exactly in Manzil, in fact it is accessed from a separate entrance within Souk Manzil. This isn't your typical party brunch in Dubai, it's more of a laid-back brunch vibe. Somewhere you can just sit back, enjoy your favorite sport(s) while nibbling on some good food. It's a place for adults and kids. The quantity of food served as this place is unreal, especially if you're a group of 3-5, they serve you doubles and it is more than enough! Their chicken wings, vegetable spring rolls, and quality of rice was absolutely fantastic. You have quite a bit to choose from for your mains, the only thing is that they have only 1-2 options for chicken and almost no vegetarian options. We truly wish we could have tried their desserts and gourmet milkshakes but we were honestly so full, it was almost impossible to eat or drink any more. Brunch packages: Every Friday from 12pm to 4pm // AED 249 (includes a delectable buffet, house beverages and sparkling wines) ~ AED 199 (includes a delectable buffet and house beverages) ~ AED 75 for guests between 12-18years old ~ Children under the age of 12 dine with compliments.

Dinner at The Courtyard...

It's safe to say that The Courtyard at Manzil is our absolute favorite middle eastern restaurant in the area. The food at this place is mouth-watering, it totally makes up for the slightly inattentive staff and the wait time for the food. The restaurant is quite dim and cosy at night, there's just one candle on each table. So, it's perfect if you're looking for something romantic and comfy. The seating is pretty decent just wish the tables were a tiny bit bigger. The place is fully packed on a Friday night, so make sure to make a reservation prior to your visit. They seemed a little short staffed as it was difficult to get a hold of any of them throughout the night. Moving on to the food... we were SO impressed. Every single dish we ordered was utterly delicious! We had their cheese saj, butter chicken, biryani, and a few mocktails. Everything was on point. The biryani was to die for. If you visit the courtyard, be sure to try out their cheese saj and biryani(s), you won't regret it. Highly recommend this place for some authentic Middle Eastern food with good vibes.
