Aubaine, Dubai Mall | Restaurant Review

aubaine dubai mall review

Aubaine’s stylish interiors bring the best of both worlds to Dubai with its Parisian charm and London roots.

The tasteful and trendy eatery will allow Dubai’s urbanites to enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even a mid-day snack to keep energy up during those diligent shopping days! After 9 locations in London, they opened their first location opened at the Dubai Mall in Dubai early January & their second location just opened at City Walk. We always prefer this branch as it’s the best place to dine at post shopping for hours at the mall. The London-born French cafe offers French recipes made with fresh, organic & mouth watering ingredients. The food is pretty simple yet elegant.

Service: Very attentive staff. Our server was well versed with the menu and recommended some delicious dishes. We had more than one server, different ones approaching us for our starters/mains, we couldn’t keep track of who was taking our order.

What we loved: Every dish is freshly made, and you can actually taste the freshness. Our very first starter, Superfood Salade which is a perfect combination of Quinoa, beetroot, broccoli, spinach, peas, mixed nuts and seeds. The salad comes with the option of adding Chicken or shrimp. On the whole a super healthy dish. Our next starter, chilli and paprika-dusted calamari was indeed spicy calamari. It’s the first calamari we have ever tasted that actually has a chilli flavor! It tastes best when you squeeze the lemon over calamari and spring onions. We loved both the mains we ordered. The Gambas a la plancha which are jumbo prawns and there were about 4 largely sized prawns that were full of taste, the sauce that it comes with is delicious. The Poulet Paillard is also a very fresh dish, the chicken is delicious to eat while it’s warm, the sun dried tomatoes was the key ingredient in this dish. Additionally, the fries that we ordered with the chicken was a good side dish that comes with fresh appetizing Spinach. The carrot orange juice is very refreshing and delicious, a perfect drink to go along with your lunch. Lastly the highlight of our lunch was the fondu we ordered from the option of a selection of appetizing desserts including a mango cheesecake, a mille-feuille, a chocolate fondant, etc. The chocolate fondue was on point, very rich in flavor. We would have chosen more desserts but we had no room for more haha!

What we didn’t like as much: There wasn’t anything we really didn’t like other than the fact that the mains took a while to arrive.

What we recommend:

  • Chilli and paprika-dusted calamari
  • Superfood Salade with chicken
  • Gambas a la plancha

Ambiance: A chic yet relaxed all-day dining restaurant vibe. Very interesting interiors for a restaurant in the mall, their walls are covered with garden growth and white & blue flowers in a super cute setting. You feel like you aren’t in the mall anymore. During afternoon hours, it’s super bright, and you get the perfect lighting to take some instagrammable pictures with views of Dubai Mall’s main entrance. It’s a hidden gem in the mall.
