Achieving Thick Hair | Aveda Product Review

Who doesn’t want gorgeous luxuriant hair?

I think it’s almost like a trend right now, to have colored hair which still looks thick, healthy, and maintained. One of the hardest things is maintaining your hair especially after how dry it can become after all the kinds of things we do to it like, coloring, straightening, etc. There are probably a gazillion amazing haircare products you can try out for soft, thick, and shinier hair. We’ve tried many and found Aveda’s “Invati system” to have really worked for our hair. I’ve had dry and unhealthy hair for quite some time and I had no idea until hairstyles kept telling me repeatedly (lol!) Let’s not forget, I also had quite some hair fall every time I washed my hair, I actually panicked at one point. I mean my hair always looked pretty fine so I never really thought I had to do much. After coloring my hair at Slam, I knew I had to invest in good hair care products since she used bleach which can really damage your hair if it’s not taken good care of.

Aveda products are known for all things related to haircare.

Something about this brand appeared to be super interesting which is why we decided to give it a try. We went for their Invati System which consists of the exfoliating shampoo, the thickening conditioner, and the scalp revitalizer. What I love about brands like Aveda is that you achieve the results they promise which is honestly so satisfying.

It’s basically a 3-step system…

Initially, I didn’t use them all on one day. I tried the conditioner on one day, the shampoo on another, and so on. Although, as of right now I use them as per the steps. The first step being the exfoliating shampoo, I think the name says it all. It says to remove build-up that can clog pores and renews the scalp with wintergreen-derived salicylic acid. I’ve used this just like how I would use a regular shampoo. It starts to feel super refreshing while you’re massaging it into your scalp. At first, it didn’t lather too much which was kind of annoying because that would require more quantity. It also gets a bit tedious when there’s no lather. However, when I tried it the third time, I’m not sure what I did but it did lather quite a bit. So, it really depends on how you use the product(s.) Next up is the invati thickening conditioner with soy protein and naturally derived amino acids, mimics hair’s building blocks to help weightlessly thicken hair from within. This product was one of the first I tried and definitely my favorite one. I felt instant change! Refreshed, soft, shiny hair. Of course, overtime thickness as well. You just use it/apply it like how you apply any other conditioner after shampooing. Finally, the scalp revitalizer, this was something new to me and definitely interesting. It’s supposed to be used twice a day. Once the hair is lifted in sections, spray it directly onto scalp. Spray 16 times, evenly covering head. Hair may be damp or dry. Gently massage in, not to be rinsed.

What the Invati System did to my hair…

As I mentioned earlier, I sort of felt the difference after just one use/wash but I wasn’t sure. I love how the ivanti system has different steps that actually work; exfoliate, thicken, and lastly it helps you keep the hair you have longer. The shampoo definitely exfoliates and cleanses your hair. At first, I thought the conditioner would make my hair super soft and flat (like most conditioners do.) Thankfully, this one didn’t! For me, my ends are the main issue, they were always so frizzy and dry looking. The conditioner really help with that. The last step, the scalp revitalizer, which I used once a day (just by the way) worked like magic for me. As you spray it, you feel it really going into your scalp. I noticed my hair stopped falling as much as it used to in the shower. The only downfall about this scalp revitalizer is that it sort of ruins the setting of your hair and makes it a bit messy/flat. So I wouldn’t recommend using this on a special day when you want your hair all volumized and set up. All in all, I’d highly recommend Aveda’s Invati System if you’re looking to reduce hair fall, increase thickness and just have fuller hair  in the most natural way!
