Corrector For Your Dark Circles | Bobbi Brown Corrector Review

I’ve always wanted to get this corrector, but wasn’t necessarily dying for it. In my current makeup routine, I do already use the brands concealer, which is pretty pigmented and very much on the orangey, peach side, so it did already help cancel out my dark circles as my skin color is usually between medium-tan and tan with warm undertones, so the formula easily covered up any discoloration. Unfortunately, a busy schedule and the lack of sleep have worsened my dark circles in the last few months. To be completely honest, the reason I immediately opted for Bobbi Brown’s corrector, is because I didn’t have the time nor the patience to experiment with how different concealers would blend with different correctors, and it’s common knowledge that products from the same brand are very likely to blend well.

Bobbi Brown’s Under Eye Corrector

is suggested for very dark circles and(or) for extra/full coverage. It’s meant to brighten and cover up any discoloration under the eyes, utilizing a pink- or peach-based formula to neutralize under eye darkness. This long-wearing formula boasts a creamy & smooth texture for perfectly smooth coverage that’s easy to blend. It is infused with skin conditioners to protect the delicate under eye area and is available in 16 shades – which is quite a lot! so you are very much likely to get a shade that’s perfect for you.

I was pleasantly surprised,

when I fell in love with the corrector from the first time I used it (and yes, I have used it for a couple of weeks to better judge the versatility of the product!).  It’s basically a VERY thick, peach based cream. It is super natural looking and blends really well, in texture as well as with the skin tone and shade. I absolutely love that it is highly pigmented (you probably already know that, what with how many times I’ve repeated it in every make up product review!)

It is undeniably one of the best product’s that I’ve used to completely cancel out my dark circles. The corrector is waterproof, sweat & humidity resistant. I can personally guarantee it, as I had it on a day I attended a yoga session and it stayed put!

The packaging is pretty convenient; a small rounded, compact container that would easily fit in your handbag. It’s quite easy to click open and also stays firmly shut when closed. I would definitely be able to effortlessly carry it around even while travelling.

The easiest way I found to apply & set the corrector

would be to apply it with a small concealer brush, (up to the lash line if you have high discoloration, and in the inner corner of the eye to brighten your whole face) then lightly pat with a damp, mini beauty blender/make up sponge, just to avoid brush strokes, even faint ones (for an even & sheer finish). You can also apply it with your finger tips if you’re rushed, or are applying a small amount. After layering your concealer, set with powder using the same sponge (it didn’t work well for me when I attempted to set with a small fluffy blending brush), basically baking and I would suggest to ALWAYS set this specific corrector in this way.

You can also use the corrector on its own without a concealer for a natural make up look, as it has quite a brightening effect.

I would also recommend using a primer beforehand, as I realized it had moved slightly (on a rushed day, when I’d forgotten to prime my skin) and it does crease a little when you use too much product, so its always a better idea to only use as much as you need. Additionally, always set it carefully and efficiently and it has quite a creamy texture, as I already mentioned.

Due to different variations in lighting and (or) editing, the color of the product may not be 100% accurate.

  • The biggest problem I seem to have with concealers is many of them seem to get a little cakey, which I hate! But, this one looks so awesome, and I need a little help with my mom bags haha. Thanks for sharing <3
