Where: Dusty’s, Al Fattan Currency House, DIFC, Dubai
Perfect for: Drinks with a chill ambiance
Service: A bit short staffed. Wish they were a bit more attentive.
What we loved: Very chilled ambiance. Compact menu, doesn’t take much of your time and they have a little bit of everything (chicken, squid, shrimp, etc.) The rock shrimp tempura with mayo was almost the ONLY dish we relished. The crispy duck salad which was a mix of greens with pomegranate dressing, it’s something we have never tasted in the past and we fell in love! Right amount of dressing, greens, and duck. One of the drinks we ordered was the “lychigochoko” which consisted of lychee, strawberries, cream & chocolate syrup, it tasted beyond amazing! Definitely a must try.
What we didn’t like as much: As we have reviewed Dusty’s in the past, we were quite familiar with their menu and dishes and so, we naturally thought their new D’Brunch concept/menu would include some new dishes however, there wasn’t much we hadn’t seen or tried earlier. The grilled squid with chili lime dressing tasted good but a little odd at the same time perhaps it was a bit raw. We did not enjoy the mini crab cakes with Thai dipping sauce either. We ordered the “Candy Station” which was the usual marshmallows, cake pops, etc. with chocolate fondue however, we hoped the chocolate fondue would have actually been HOT chocolate and not cold.
What we recommend:
- Rock Shrimp Tempura
- Crispy Duck Salad
Ambiance: Absolutely loved the ambiance! They have an outdoor terrace area which is beautiful and has a great vibe overall.
