Moshi – Momo & Sushi | Restaurant Review

Moshi

is a one of a kind dining expeience in Dubai that offers both Nepalese and Japanese delicacies with a twist. Moshi is the first in Dubai to offer a wide variety of vegetarian momo and sushi. From Cheesy Chips Oman, to Tofu, to Falafel they put together your favourite veggies into delectable momos and maki rolls. Furthermore, there is a healthier option of having your maki rolls as ‘Air Rolls’ which are rolled in lettuce, instead of the traditionally used seaweed paper.

Service: Very friendly staff that were well versed with the whole menu.

What we loved: The Lotus Milkshake was the perfect start to our “Summer Menu” tasting, it’s very refreshing. I tried not to finish the whole drink just so that I could leave some room for the numerous sushi options we were gonna try. After trying the Lotus Milkshake, we were offered the Strawberry Mojito which was not as tasty, although it was refreshing, exactly what you need in this heat. We liked how the Mojito came in a super cute light bulb shaped cup. The sushi burger was an interesting concept, as seen in one of the images above, a bit difficult to eat, but we managed to finish it off! Few of us really loved the Edamame & Mushroom Momo, it’s just such an interesting vegetarian mix in a momo, it goes really well together. The “Chicken Chips Oman” was very delicious, the whole combination of chicken and omani chips is very tasty. Although, the chips keeps getting stuck on your lips (haha!) Our favorites from the whole Summer menu is the Volcano Roll and Flamin’ Chicken Cheetos. The Cheetos in The Flamin’ Chicken Cheetos was super crunchy and has a very good taste to it. Finally the Nutella Maki with nutella all over a wooden plate with mini Maki’s was indeed the best way to end our meal.

What we didn’t like as much: Some of the maki rolls like the Zaatar Labneh Maki and the Dokhla Maki just did not go too well with our taste. The Dokhla maki had too much of Dokhla taste, it was less like a maki roll and more like an indian snack.

What we recommend:

  • Flamin’ Chicken Cheetos
  • Volcano Roll
  • Chicken Chips Oman
  • Edamame & Mushroom Momo
  • Nutella Maki

Ambiance: Welcoming and pretty casual
