Step 1: Hydrate
I always start by hydrating my skin, not only is this step good for your skin but it's also a secret to a super glowy face post your makeup. Plus, I find it difficult and bugging to apply make up to a dry face. I recently started using the hydro gel by Dr. Jart, I find it to be an extremely soothing and hydrating gel especially before makeup and before going to bed. So I start with applying that and then spray the smashbox primer water to prep my face for the makeup.
Step 2: base
I then move on to my base makeup which is foundation and concealer. I switched to Nars all day luminous foundation a while back because I was looking for something which gave me a more glowy look while still keeping my face somewhat matte. I go for the shade "syracuse" - it's the perfect bronzey shade for me/my skintone. For my concealer, I use Kat Von D's Lock-It concealer in 'M26' - I fell in love with this concealer ever since it launched in sephora and I tried it out for the first time ever. And then finally to set my face, I use my all time favorite studio care blend pressed powder by MAC, clearly I'm not someone who sticks to one brand only for my makeup haha! I have a (different) favorite face product in almost every brand.
step 3: brows + eyes
Next, the brows and eyes - my favorite step during makeup. I've always been an ABH fan when it comes to brows and highlight specifically. I use the brow wiz in 'chocolate.' For my everyday eye makeup, I use the Kat Von D shade light palette only for the beige to kind of even out my lids (I don't use an eye primer) and then I take a super bright color from the too faced peach palette and apply it to my crease with the zoeva luxe crease brush. It's just really simple, quick, and looks great.
step 4: cheeks
For my bronzer/contour I just apply the second darkest shade from the parkave princess palette with an angled brush. I take a blush brush and then apply the pink shade from the Becca Cosmetics palette just to the apples of my cheeks to give my face that fresh look. Finally, I take a fan brush and apply LOTS of highlight from the ABH glow kit (another all time favorite beauty product of mine).
