Service: Very welcoming & pleasant.

What we loved: The tandoor dishes were very well cooked, and unlike few of the starters, they were flavorsome, and had a lot of spice to it. The stuffed mushrooms which were stuffed with spiced cheese were one of the best from the starters. Our server did ask us how spicy we liked our food, and we chose to go with medium. We ordered coconut water which came in large sized coconuts, it was sweet and was of good quantity too. Also, many of the dishes are presented to you on cute banana leaves which is pretty interesting and it’s good to know that they take the time to place every dish on the leaf before serving it to you.

What we didn’t like as much: Some of the starters were a bit too bland in flavor, only the outer most of every dish had a little flavor to it. For example the paneer koliwada had no flavor to it, only the outer layer had very little taste to it but the inside was just bland. We didn’t really like the goan prawn curry we felt like it had a bit too much of coconut but we can’t really complain about this one as the dish is “A Goan speciality with hints of coconut and Tamarind.”

What we recommend:

  • Stuffed Mushrooms
  • Tandoori Prawns
  • Butter Chicken
  • Mutton Biryani

Ambiance: Lively! The restaurant was almost fully occupied. Very interesting color coded interiors, even the furniture goes with its theme.

From the Northern region known for their creamy gravies and kebabs right through to the spicy curries of the coastal areas; House of Curry has brought together the best of all regions creating a perfect balance of Indian cuisine in Dubai. The House of curry is almost one of the last restaurants on the beach, and so it’s a good 10 minute walk to the restaurant which is pretty nice.
