Vii’s Sushi Mondays | Restaurant Review

Vii Dubai is where the urban sky meets an unspoiled lush garden.

The journey to discovering this hidden gem starts through a spectacular lounge and an artfully crafted tunnel walk which eventually unveils what can only be described as a plush garden filled with all things green and radiant. Service: The servers were extremely sweet even though it’s always a full house, there’s always someone around. Our server was extremely helpful when it came to ordering dishes, she recommended some amazing dishes depending on our preference.

What we loved: Every dish we ordered just melted in our mouth, some of them were so good we had to order it twice! If you’re in the mood for some delicious sushi, then Vii’s sushi Monday is what you have to try out. Our favorites was the Vii Special which is a combination of Salmon, Feta Cheese, Avocado, and Cucumber in Tempura batter. It just mouthwatering, and it tastes even better than it looks! Another favorite was the California orange – the salmon is just so well done and appetizing. If you’re a prawn lover, make sure to  try out the Ebi Tempura Roll, you will end up ordering multiple of the same, because of how flavorsome it is. The Jumbo Shrimps were also pretty delicious, nothing too unique, unlike the other sushi’s we tried at Vii. Although, the thousand island sauce that comes with it is apparently homemade, which is something nice, because of the effort you see going into one dish. Lastly, the Asparagus and Wild Mushroom Risotto were two fantastic dishes, in terms of presentation and taste these dishes were done very well. We loved how every dish was super filling, so make sure you don’t over order. Vii is without a doubt, Dubai’s hottest restaurant to be at, at the moment.

What we didn’t like as much: There wasn’t anything we disliked, everything was on point from the atmosphere to the food to the service.

What we recommend:

  • Vii Special
  • Ebi Tempura Roll
  • California Orange
  • Asparagus and Wild Mushroom Risotto

Ambiance: We were quite impressed with the capacity Vii Dubai can hold and still be a full house on any day of the week. We’d really recommend making a reservation before going in, because sometimes they don’t let you enter if you don’t have one. And make sure you’re super dressed up if you’re visiting! The restaurant has 3 areas – A lounge, where you can just chill for a drink or two, a club, and then the terrace area where you can go in for a good dinner with amazing lounge music. If you’re looking for a place to go out during the week or even the weekend, this is THE place. We loved how even at the Terrace / Garden area they had about 3 different kinds of seating areas, very instagramable! They have a different night every day.
