Weslodge Saloon…

creatively cool, elegant and modern, Weslodge is ‘rock and roll’ chic. The music, design, food, drink and attitude find its roots from those who dare to be different. Service: Ace service, very impressive. The staff is always around and also have some charisma, which makes the dinner experience even better. Regardless of such a huge area & crowd, every table was well taken care of. Our server was very friendly and well versed with all the dishes. She recommended some very good dishes, we wouldn’t have chosen otherwise.
What we loved: The quality of food was beyond excellent. Weslodge has a lot to offer, you just want to try everything on the menu, but there are too many dishes to choose from! Ahi Tuna Ceviche was finished in seconds! That’s how good the tuna dish was. The Lobster Roll is very filling, good quantity of Lobster in the roll. I tried not eating too much of it, so I don’t get too full. Moving on, when the Iceberg Wedge salad was brought to the table, it wasn’t to appealing and so I thought I wouldn’t like it but when I had a bit of it, I fell in love. It had a lot of flavor to it and just the combination of all the ingredients together (blue cheese, dill, smoked tomato, walnut, garlic breadcrumbs) was on extremely palatable. For mains, we wanted a chicken dish and the only choices were either the Southern Fried Chicken or the Herb Roasted Chicken, we obviously went for the Roasted one, as it’s a healthier option (comparatively). When the chicken arrived at the table we were actually shocked, we certainly did not expect a whole roasted chicken on our table, and we were way too stuffed to finish the entire chicken however, the quantity of food is excellent, it tasted even better than it looked. The presentation for almost every dish was a 10/10. For the sides, my favorite one was the Creamed Kale, I ate the whole dish by myself, and it was too good to be true. The mixture of Kale and warm cheese, just melts in your mouth, as you eat every bite. It’s one of the best Kale dishes I’ve had in Dubai. They had another cute little menu just for desserts, from which we choose to go for the caramel & hazelnut mille feuille and another chocolate dessert. In simple words it was bar food transformed into fine dining.

What we didn’t like as much: The Onion Rings, looked really nice, but it was a bit too dry as you eat it, the sauce that it’s topped with is definitely not enough,

What we recommend:

  • Ahi Tuna Ceviche
  • Lobster Roll
  • Creamed Kale
  • Mac & cheese

Ambiance: Weslodge saloon includes everything, a lounge, bar & restaurant. Absolutely love the interiors. Especially the different seating furniture styles for each part of the restaurant. Even the bar setting and just the vibe this whole place gives you. Weslodge Saloon takes up the whole of the 36th floor, and so is very spacious. The washrooms are as interesting and incredible as the restaurant itself. The restaurant was almost packed as the night progressed. Weslodge is the talk of the town at the moment and so, if you haven’t been here yet, you have to check it out!
